Photograph the receipt

When your teenager picks up the shopping, they photograph the receipt on the spot. ReceiptKid's AI reads the total and the date from the image automatically. They add a short note — "Tesco run for mum" — pick who it's for, and hit submit. The whole thing takes about 20 seconds.

If the receipt has multiple items for different people, they can split it or take multiple photos. Drafts save automatically — even without internet — so nothing gets lost.

Parent reviews and approves

Mum or Dad gets a push notification. They open the app and see the receipt photo, the amount, and the note. If it all checks out, they tap approve. One tap. Done.

If something doesn't look right — wrong amount, missing context — they can request an edit with a quick message. No back-and-forth, no arguments. The claim stays open until everyone's happy.

Pay back. Mark as done.

Pay however your family normally does — hand over cash, bank transfer, shout "it's on the kitchen counter." ReceiptKid doesn't touch your money or your bank details. It never will.

Once paid, the parent marks it as settled in the app. The family ledger updates instantly. Everyone can see that the balance is square. That small moment of acknowledgement — "I've paid you back" — is what makes the whole thing work.
